Introduction

This article will walk through the SRD grant application process. In this article, I will guide you on the application process for SRD grants. I have made a complete step-by-step guide for you for the application process. Please follow the following steps which are given below:

STEP 1: Sassa SRD Grant Application VIA WhatsApp

  • Send a WhatsApp message to 082 046 8553.
  • The applicant will provide personal details as prompted by the chat.
  • The applicant will receive a Reference number.
  • An OTP number and website link to click on.
  • Applicant must click on the link; insert the OTP number and click verify.
  • Applicant provides surname and ID number.
  • The applicant confirms the details as provided in the chat.
  • Continue to step 2: AGREE TO TERMS AND CONDITION.

STEP 2: Agree To Terms And Conditions

  • Read the Declaration and Consent Document.
  • The declaration and consent document is acceptable to you.
  • Read and understand your and your special COVID-19 SRD Grant documents.
  • Continue to step 3: PROVIDE PERSONAL DETAILS.

STEP 3: Provide Personal Details

  • Provide the ID number, Name, and surname as printed on the ID Document/card.
  • Provide other personal details e.g. address, gender, etc.
  • Continue to step 4: SUBMIT BANKING DETAILS /CHOOSE PAYMENT OPTION NEW APPLICANT.

STEP 4: Banking Details/ Choose Payment Method

NEW APPLICANT

Clients with personal bank accounts

  • Choose a bank name.
  • Provide the account number.
  • Provide branch name.
  • Provide account type.
  • Agree to the terms and conditions.
  • Submit banking details.

Clients without personal bank accounts

  • Choose payment option- cash sent.
  • Agree to terms and conditions.
  • Submit banking details.

EXISTING CLIENT

Confirm Existing Personal banking details

  • Agree to terms and conditions.
  • Click submit.

Clients with cash send option who wish to add bank details

  • Choose a bank name.
  • Provide the account number.
  • Provide branch name.
  • Provide account type.
  • Agree to terms and conditions.
  • Submit banking details.

STEP 5: Receive SMS on Your Mobile 

MESSAGE SAMPLE

Application ID: 123456,88…081. Sassa confirms the successful update of banking details for the bank name. You have now submitted your application for the SRD R350 grant.

 NB: It is important to provide Sassa with a mobile number where they will be able to reach you to send an SMS that they have declined or regarded your banking details.
